PowerIQ
A power cost intelligence tool for telecom operators that scores every network site for energy waste, diesel anomalies, billing errors and solar potential, and ranks where to act first.

01
Overview
PowerIQ looks at a telecom operator's site power costs one site at a time. Five engines run over site, energy, traffic, diesel, generator and billing records. They flag sites that use more grid power than similar peers, map energy cost per gigabyte by region and cluster, catch diesel refills that generator runtime cannot explain, audit electricity bills for duplicates and wrong tariffs, and rank sites for solar or hybrid retrofit by payback.

What it changes for the business
PowerIQ
PowerIQ turns thousands of small site-level power leaks into a ranked list of savings, so teams fix the costliest problems first.
- 01
Lower electricity spend
Sites using more power than their peers are ranked by excess cost, so field audits go where the money is.
- 02
Less diesel leakage
Refills that do not match generator runtime, and fuel sent to inactive sites, are surfaced for investigation.
- 6 checks
Fewer billing overpayments
Invoices are checked for duplicates, wrong tariffs, inactive sites, unmapped meters, abnormal amounts and missing bills before payment.
- 04
Better solar investment
Retrofit budget goes first to the sites with the shortest payback, which lowers both energy cost and diesel use.
03 · The Problem → The Outcome
Challenges → Solutions
- 01
Challenges: Some sites draw far more power than similar sites, and nobody can see which ones.
Solutions: Each site is benchmarked against peers with the same technology, vendor, region and traffic band, and the excess is priced in local currency.
- 02
Challenges: Energy cost per unit of traffic varies widely between regions, with no clear view of where it is worst.
Solutions: Cost and energy per gigabyte are mapped by site, cluster and region, with the worst clusters ranked.
- 03
Challenges: Diesel deliveries do not always match generator runtime, which can hide theft, ghost fuelling or logging gaps.
Solutions: Refills are compared with runtime-implied consumption per site and month, and mismatches are ranked by cost impact.
- 04
Challenges: Electricity invoices contain duplicates, wrong tariffs and bills for inactive sites that slip through.
Solutions: Six rule-based checks audit every invoice against site master data and history, and rank findings by money at risk.
- 05
Challenges: Solar and hybrid budgets are limited, and it is unclear which sites pay back first.
Solutions: Active sites are ranked by projected annual saving and payback period, grouped into clear ROI tiers.

Where it fits, by industry
Telecom
Purpose-built AI solutions for telecommunications providers.
- 01
Site energy waste reduction
Energy teams compare each site with similar peers and send audit crews to the sites with the highest excess cost.
- 02
Diesel and generator control
Operations teams match fuel deliveries to generator logs and follow up on over-consumption and fuel sent to inactive sites.
- 03
Electricity bill audit
Finance teams validate utility invoices against contracted tariffs and site status before paying them.
- 04
Solar and hybrid rollout planning
Planning teams use the payback ranking to decide which sites get solar or hybrid power first.
05
Enterprise Capabilities
Intended Users
Network energy, operations and finance teams at a telecom operator who manage site power and diesel costs.
